Cedar Rapids Eye Care has dedicated and hard working staff that are ready and willing to help you in any way possible with your eye health needs!  Our staff includes specialists in scheduling, insurance and billing, frames and lens styles, contact lenses, and eye health testing.

Jean - Patient Coordinator

Jean heads our front desk and insurance teams in keeping current with changes in insurance, HIPAA regulations and managing doctors' schedules.  She has been with our practice for 18 years and before that she worked fabricating eyeglasses.  Jean lives in Marion, IA with her husband, Mark, and their four children, Brian, Dusty, Jessica and Lindsey.

 
 
Angie – Patient Coordinator

Angie is our head Insurance Specialist.  She has been in the optical profession for five years.  Angie was born and raised in Dubuque, IA and moved to Cedar Rapids to attend Kirkwood Community College.  She graduated in 2001 with an Associate of Applied Horse Science Degree.    She met and married her husband during college after he spent a year away serving in the Armed National Guard.  Angie resides in Cedar Rapids with her family, which has now expanded to include daughter Cheyanne, two cats; two paint horses, and a black Lab.   Angie enjoys her work because there is a “family-like atmosphere between our staff and our patients.”

Erin  – Frame Stylist & Contact Lens Technician

Erin recently celebrated her 26th year with our practice.  She is head of the Contact Lens Department and leads her team in keeping up with advances in contact lens designs and cleaning solution technology.  She participated in a yearlong program in Optometric Assisting at North Iowa Community College in Mason City, IA.  Formerly certified by the American Board of Opticianry, Erin is seeking certification by National Contact Lens Exam.  Erin enjoys her time away from the office with husband and son, as well as, reading and cross-stitch.


 

Diane  – Frame Stylist & Contact Lens Technician

Diane brings to the team 2 years experience of frame stylist and dispensing.  She has recently developed experience with contact lens design, care and storage technology.  Diane is currently pursuing certification in contact lens (NCLE) and optical dispensing (ABO). Also, she assists the Doctors with all preliminary testing, in addition to, the special tests for Glaucoma patients;  GDX Fiber Nerve Analyzer and Visual Fields.  In her free time she enjoys being a member of the Lions Club.

Kelly  – Frame Stylist & Contact Lens Technician

Kelly joined our practice on a part time basis in 2006 as an optometric assistant.  With several years experience in the field of healthcare and massage therapy, including as an educator, Kelly brings to our team extensive knowledge to assist our patients and doctors with all preliminary eye health and vision testing.  She also performs specialty testing as necessary for our patients with specific eye health conditions. 

                Outside of our office, Kelly enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering at church and in the community.
