|Christine Winter-Rundell, O.D., FAAO, FCOVD|
Winter-Rundell joined Cedar Rapids Eye Care and The Children’s Eye Center after
graduating from The Southern College of Optometry where she received the
Gold Key award for service and community leadership.
Her broad professional interests motivated her to become the only doctor in Iowa to complete two post-doctorate fellowships: the prestigious American Academy of Optometry and the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.
In addition to working in children’s vision and vision-related learning challenges, Dr. Winter-Rundell enjoys adult primary care, elder care, conducting brain injury assessments, and nutrition counseling for healthy vision and improved overall health.
|Dr. Winter-Rundell is
passionate about her mission work to provide vision care in Latin
America. She has been on seven mission trips with more to come. She is
fluent in Spanish and offers exams for Spanish-speaking patients.
Outside the office, she and her husband, Justin, parent their five children. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, mountain biking, and spending time on or near water. She strives to live an active and healthy lifestyle—look for her at your next 10K.
