Angie
Angie is a graduate from Kirkwood College; a jack-of-all trades in the optical field. She has over 20 years of experience from lab technician, preliminary testing, patient coordination, frame stylist, working with contacts, as well as processing insurance and billing.

Angie brings her feisty sense of humor and friendly personality to all of our patients. When not keeping many balls in the air at Cedar Rapids Eye Care, Angie loves spending time on her acreage with her husband, two children, and her wide assortment of animals, which will continue to grow.

Erin
Erin is ABO certified and has years of experience in the optical field. She has helped in many aspects of optometry including specialty testing, preliminary testing, eyewear selection, patient instruction of contact lens insertion and removal, scheduling appointments and processing orders.

"I really enjoy helping people with their eyes! Every person has an individual need. It is fun, interesting and rewarding every day!"

When not at work, Erin enjoys reading, some crafting, and being with her family.

Meghann
Meghann came to Cedar Rapids Eye Care with many years of insurance and billing experience. In addition to being our Insurance Manager she serves as Staff Manager to our fun, hardworking, knowledgeable team.

She loves trading "dad jokes" with her coworkers and making fun song parodies about the office to keep everyone laughing. In her free time she enjoys karaoke, dancing, live music, hiking with her 2 dogs and spending time with her kids.

Tina
Tina is ABO certified and brings to Cedar Rapids Eye Care over twenty-five years of Optical experience. She enjoys all facets of her lab management position, but her passion has always been caring for her patients.

Starting each morning at the gym, her high energy continues throughout her day. When away from the office, Tina enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Playing a game of tennis or a bike ride are also on her to-do list.

Brenda
Brenda began her career in optometry working part-time as a senior in high school. She left for college, but returned to Cedar Rapids Eye Care after graduating from UNI with a degree in Biology.

She soon became the first vision therapist working under the direction of Dr. Kara Heying. Brenda has 20 plus years' experience as a vision therapist and more recently can also be found working at the front desk handling everything from phone triage, patient coordination, and greeting everyone with her bright smile and bubbly personality.

In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors doing a variety of activities including hiking, running, playing tennis and kayaking

Karlie
Karlie, BA, COVT received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Electronic Media/ Communications and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa. She became a member of our team in February 2016.

Karlie enjoys teaching vision therapy to both children and adults with special interests in brain injury and post-concussive vision rehabilitation and sports vision performance training. She has enjoyed the opportunity to work with the University of Iowa Baseball team for the past 4 years.

In her free time Karlie enjoys traveling and the outdoors; kayaking, camping, boating, backpacking and spending time with her husband, their daughter and fur babies.

Carrie
Carrie is a graduate from Iowa State University and has taught kindergarten and first grade in Iowa and Minnesota. She later moved to the Chicago suburbs where she met her husband Jim and had 3 children.

She went back to school to become a dental hygienist for many years, then the family moved to Cedar Rapids for her husband's job and she started working at Cedar Rapids Eye Care.

Carrie is part of the front desk team and handles patient check in/out and scheduling.

Kimberly
Kimberly brought her extensive knowledge of vision therapy to our office in 2021.

She is passionate about helping our therapy patients reach their goals! In addition to attaining her COVT certification, Kimberly is a licensed occupational therapy assistant.

Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family, traveling and gardening.

Brian
Brian has worked in the optical field since August 2016 and brings his expertise and awesome style to our Optique.

In his free time he enjoys walking, biking and hiking. He is married with 2 dogs that he thinks are pretty cool.

Brian’s witty energy and passion for learning new things has complemented our office atmosphere very well!

Tiphanie
Prior to joining our team, Tiphanie attended Kirkwood Community College and then ran the front desk of a 24-hour emergency veterinary hospital for nearly a decade.

She enjoys working in a fast-paced atmosphere, which makes her a perfect fit for our front desk! In her free time,

Tiphanie enjoys caring for her large plant collection, cooking, fishing, painting, riding her horse & spending time with her husband and their two sons.

Jodi
Jodi worked as a Chiropractic Assistant for 22 years prior to joining our team.

She has excelled at making our patients feel welcome, at ease and educated during their pretests.

After hours Jodi can usually be found camping, watching live music, or at a sporting event of some type with her husband, 3 kids, daughters in law and grandkids. She also has 2 beloved vizslas.
